Prior to 2004, political campaigns at our local level would typically have ONE campaign account.  The local club would usually have an account typically funded by members' dues.  That was it!  By law, campaign disclosure reports were filed and they would indicate all contributions and expenditures.  It was very easy for anyone to receive a copy of this report and see everything.

     Since 2004, we have read all too many reports on how Dumont's Democrats have infiltrated their pay to play chicanery into our town.  Those reports clearly show how they have farmed the number of campaign accounts from ONE TO DOZENS AND DOZENS.  What used to be raised in a single year is now hustled by our Democrats in a single contribution by a single vendor.  What we used to see spent over 10 years worth of campaigns is now being raised and spent by Dumont's Democrats in a SINGLE YEAR - upwards of $100,000 and over in certain years. 

    Each and every one of our current members of the mayor and council have had direct involvement in opening more and more accounts.  Each of them then followed with raising obscene amounts of money to be placed into all these accounts.  Contrary to their convenient lapses of memory, facts are that each and every one of them signed their campaign reports.  There is no way for them to possibly claim that they did not know where the money came from, how much was there and where it was spent.  The reports also show what they do know!  Their money making machine must be fueled by mammoth tax increases which we have seen each yea since they gained control of our town.

    Significant "Pay to Play" reforms have been proposed and pushed in Dumont since 2006.  Sadly, for four years, all proposals and calls for reform fell on deaf ears.  Deaf ears that just happen to belong to each and every one of our DEMOCRATIC MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS.

     It took an extensive investigation which led to the shameful public exposure report to shake up this issue.  What the Bergen Record uncovered can only be described as deplorable and appalling.  WHILE IT CERTAINLY DID SHAKE UP THE ISSUE, IT FELL SHORT ON SHAKING UP DEMOCRAT MEMORIES !  They all seem to be suffering from "know-nothing, see-nothing, hear-nothing syndrome".  Convenient, well yes.  Believable, absolutely not.

    Their purposely convoluted yet deliberate operations have been totally exposed in how Dumont's Democrats raise money, how much they raise, and how they spend it all over New Jersey.  Get a load of this!   Now, Councilman Stylianou and Councilwoman Zamechansky really insult our intelligence by suddenly wanting to talk about "pay to play" reforms.  

 

YOU HAVE TO BE ASKING YOURSELF JUST HOW STUPID THE DEMOCRATS THINK WE ARE?

LOOK AT IT THIS WAY...

• IF THEY ARE SERIOUS,  WE SHOULD SEE THEM CLOSE ALL OF THEIR CURRENT ACCOUNTS AND NOT OPEN ANY MORE OR RAISE ANY MONEY BEFORE THEY PASS MEANINGFUL  REFORM ?
• IF THEY ARE NOT REALLY SERIOUS, WE WILL GET NOTHING BUT LIP SERVICE AND SMOKE SCREENS UNTIL  THE ELECTION IN NOVEMBER, BUT THEY WILL TELL US THEY ARE WORKING ON IT !
