LET'S SEE WHO THE DUMONT DEMOCRATS TRY TO BLAME WHEN THIS ONE GETS OUT !!!
Buried within the consent agenda, and buried deeper between approvals for 2 neighborhood block parties, of the Mayor and Council public meeting held October 22, 2008 is
Resolution 08-291 Authorization of the Mayor and Borough Clerk to Execute Settlement Agreement . Thomas & Ann Hill v. Borough of Dumont et. al.
(Download Official Meeting Agenda for 10-21-08)
The individual who brought the lawsuit was a long-time, dedicated employee who served as the Building Inspector for the Borough of Dumont.
He was FIRED by the Democrats as soon as they took total control of our town! Is it just ANOTHER COINCIDENCE that they then hired one of their own political cohorts?
Well, the fired ex-employee got "fired up" and filed a lawsuit against Democratic Mayor McHale and his Council Democrats as well as the Borough.
The position of Building Inspector happens to be one of a few job classifications that are in many ways governed by either state statute, tenure laws, or Federal and State requirements. The reason for the existence of these laws is to prevent exactly what the Democrats did - protect employees in critical job functions from political interference.
As authorized by Resolution 08-291, this matter was settled out of court and the settlement was approved by the Mayor and Council.
The callous action of the Dumont Democrats to fire such an employee to make room for one of their own has cost Dumont taxpayers THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in settlement. Do we dare guess how many MORE THOUSANDS their Democratic appointed attorneys have billed our town to handle this settlement?
the way in which this matter was settled so quietly raises very serious questions as to why the democrats were so motivated to make this lawsuit go away !
AND WON !!!
