"New Jersey awards towns $10.67M in property tax relief"

"The Division of Local Government Services examined applications submitted by 80 municipalities, state spokeswoman Lisa Ryan said. The applications include the municipality's budget and financial statement, the surplus level, tax collection rates, and the value of taxable property in town, or its ratables, Ryan said.
Winners have demonstrated "they have taken actions to control spending", she said.
DUMONT RECEIVED
ABSOLUTELY $0 DOLLARS IN STATE PROPERTY TAX RELIEF IN 2009.
According to the State, Dumont has taken
no actions to control its spending.
Yet again in 2009, following the whopper increase of 2008, and the unforgettable increases of 2006 and 2007, McHale and his Democratic cronies have inflicted another outrageous tax increase upon the Dumont taxpayers.
The Democrats have blatantly:

squandered over $2 MILLION DOLLARS in State Aid Money over the past 4 years

diverted the MEGA-MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in additional ratables with the unprecedented Democratic approvals of new banks, condos, townhouses, land subdivisions and houses over these same 4 years

exploded our town's budget f rom $13 million in 2004 to almost $19 million in 2009 in just 5 years?
Why have TAXES GONE BALISTIC TO WELL OVER 50% in these same 5 short years?
